A woman practicing yoga outdoors near water, wearing a bright pink sports bra and matching leggings, with long braided hair in a bun.

As long as I could remember, I struggled with body image and had a poor relationship with food. At the age of 13, I was bulimic and then started to move to only eating once a day or pretending I was “full”. A lot of things growing up got me to this point, from trying to keep my aesthetics as a competitive gymnast and competitive cheerleader to family comments about my weight and appearance.

From age 16-19, I had considered the size 145lb as obese, so I went from 145lbs to 115lbs so I could fit the status quo using smoking, drinking, and light eating to get there. I ultimately did not know how this was affecting my body mentally and physically. From anxiety attacks, body dysmorphia, unexplained pains in my body, and injury after injury, this was related to my eating disorder and the effect it was having on my gut health, nervous system, and brain health.

During my darkest times and overbearing anxiety, I was told you need these four things “morning sunlight, good nutrition, omega 3’s for the brain, and movement”. I didn’t think too much about it back then, but I started incorporating each thing each day:

  • Morning sunlight with a morning run

  • Bought omega 3 supplements,

  • Each week for grocery shopping I opted to buy new fruits and vegetables I never had before.

I started small until I made a habit out of it.

12 years later, I run a business where I get to help amazing human beings build a better relationship with food and their bodies, and to build a lifestyle that resonates with them as individuals, giving them lifetime tools.
